Scumdogs XXX Live!
2020…the apocalypse we didn’t expect but got anyway. The lack of zombies and mushroom clouds made this a most unmetal apocalypse. Fortunately for us, GWAR saw to it for their 30th anniversary of ‘Scumdogs of the Universe’ they’d supplement this flaccid year with a forced injection of intergalactic metal!
Many of you filthy humans (myself included) are well aware of who our tyrannical overlords are. Since their discovery by Sleazy P. Martini 35 years ago they’ve wreaked musical havoc across the planet over the course of 14 studio albums. But as all GWAR slaves and fans know, they were dealt a cataclysmic blow when Oderus Urungus was taken to the very end of time where his immortality was stolen from him by the villain Mr Perfect, and for six Earth years since, the Berserker Blothar has fronted GWAR. This brings us now to their live stream on Devil’s Night 2020 for all intergalactic infectoids on the interwebs to enjoy during the “light beer” pandemic.
But before they would take the stage, the gears of a sinister plot were already spinning..

Techno Destructo, along with his brothers Sawborg Destructo and Bozo Destructo, were plotting to kill GWAR once again! Never has a battle of the Scumdogs taken place on live stream before. This was beginning to shape up into the apocalypse we deserved.
While we awaited the live stream concert we took a trip down memory lane with GWAR. From their humble musical origins of terrorizing human earholes, the merchandise they’ve released on gwar.net, their sponsorships from Liquid Death and Espresso Destructo, as well as engineers they’ve worked with including Ronan Chris Murphy who remixed and remastered the tracks from the first generation GWAR songs. Sleazy P. Martini took us on a camera tour through ground zero of this Covid-concert with appearances from GWAR, their slaves, their groupies, and their buddies the Sexecutioner and Bonesnapper, all taking place during Sleazy’s quest for crack!

Once the scumdogs were geared up they took to the virtual stage and opened with Salaminizer. It was a different experience watching them spew blood all over a person-less pit but they definitely didn’t lack for intensity.

The same damn GWAR-tensity…..from tearing open a redneck from Hell to their song ‘Black and Huge’, slicing Bitchtits up during ‘Vlad the Impaler’, Slymenstra Hymen fire dancing for ‘Horror of Yig’, Sleazy P. gameshow killing hippies, artists, and nazis, or the Destructo brothers being destroyed on stage by Slymenstra; once again failing to kill GWAR.

After playing their final song ‘Slaughterama’, GWAR retired to an evening of crack cocaine.
The end!
